2. How to Create Seller Account?

Step 1: Open the website “www.howwmuch.com”



Step 2: Click on “Sign in” at the top right corner of the homepage.



Step 3:
From the page that opens up, please type in your email address in the text box and press “CREATE AN ACCOUNT” button.

Step 4: Enter your details as shown below and press REGISTER button. The last two checkboxes “SIGN UP FOR NEWSLETTER” and “RECEIVE SPECIAL OFFERS FROM OUR PARTNERS” are optional to select.



Step 5:
A page that reads “Your Account has been created” will appear on the screen. On this page, please click on “Click here for seller request”



Step 6:
In the form that opens up, please fill in the details as applicable to you. A sample is shown below for your reference. Please select the picture of your company logo (if you have one) from your system by pressing on the button that is just below the heading ‘Shop Logo’.


Step 7:
After pressing the REGISTER button, your request is sent to the admin and the following message appears on your screen.

Step 8: At this point, please wait until you receive a confirmation email from howwmuch.com. Once your account has been confirmed, log in back with your email and password. Now you should see all the possible seller options on your screen as shown below.


3. As a Seller,  how can I add new Product?

Step1: Login to the website www.howwmuch.com with your registered email address and password.


Step 2:
Click on your name at the top right corner of the page.



Step 3:Under the text, ‘Here you can manage marketplace shop’, click on the link that reads “ADD PRODUCT” (Scroll down the page if you do not see this text)



Step 4:In the form that opened up, fill in the details of the product you want to sell. As an example, we are showing here how to add a TV to get listed on this website for sale.

4.1: Enter Product Name, Short Description, Description, Condition, Base Price and Quantity.




4.2:Under “Category”, please select appropriate group and then expand your selection further down by clicking on

For the smart TV,we select the following “Home -> Electronics -> TV& Video -> Smart TVs” as shown in the figure below.




4.3: For uploading images, please press on the button “No file selected”. This opens up the file selection window from where you can select the image you have on your system.



Navigate to the folder where you have your image, select the image and press the button “Open” at the right bottom of the dialog box as shown in the figure below.

In the current example of TV, I select the image – “front_facing” I have on my system.



To add further images, press “ADD MORE IMAGES”. This shows up “Choose File” button under it. Click on that and you can select another picture of your product. In the figure shown below, I selected my second image – “side_angle” and that is what appears just beside the button - “Choose File”.



Press “ADD MORE IMAGES” as many number of pictures you want to add.

4.4: Enter “Reference code” and “UPC barcode of your product”. These CANNOT be left blank. After entering these details, please press “ADD PRODUCT” button at the bottom. Note that Reference code and UPC barcode should be same.


Step 5: You should see the following text on your page “Your product uploaded successfully” as shown in the figure below.




At this point, please wait until you receive an email confirmation from howwmuch.com regarding your product approval.


Step 6: Once you receive approval confirmation email from howwmuch.com, you may check “Collection” list in your account. Approved and active product listings appear in this section. To get to your collection list, please click on your name at the top right corner of the page as shown in step 1.

Under the text, ‘Here you can manage marketplace shop’, click on the link that reads “COLLECTION” (Scroll down the page if you do not see this text).


4. How to Link Stripe Account to Howwmuch.com?
Step 1: Open the website “www.stripe.com” and press Sign in button at the top right corner of the page.


Step 2: On the login page, please click on the link “Sign up”.

 


Step 3: Enter your email address and password (twice) and press on the button “Create your Stripe account”.   




At this point, you should receive an email from stripe to verify your email, which looks like the one shown here. Click on the link provided in the email to confirm your stripe account.


 

Step 4: Close the pop up box by clicking on “X” at the top right corner on the box.

 

 

Step 5: After you closed the pop up, you should see your dashboard page that looks like the one shown below

 



Step 6: Open the website www.howwmuch.com in the browser’s new tab and sign in to your account with your registered email address and password.

 

Step 7: Click on your name at the top right corner of the page.



Step 8: Under the text that reads as “Here you can manage marketplace shop”, click on the link “STRIPE PAYMENT MANAGER” (Scroll down the page if you not see the link)

 

 

Step 9: Press the button “Connect with Stripe” that you see on your screen.

 


Step 10:Click on the link “Skip this account form” that comes up on the top of your page

 

Step 11: After you click on the above mentioned link, you should see the page as shown below.

 


Step 12:Now come back to the tab where you have your stripes dashboard opened. Click on the text “Your account” at the top right corner of the page and select “Account Settings” in the dropdown.

 


 

Step 13: Click on “Connect” that is at the top of the page.




Step 14: Now you should see the page that looks like the one shown below. You can see approval date and the authorized actions, which implies that the accounts (Stripe account and howwmuch.com) are now connected. Press the button “Done” at the bottom right corner of this page.

 

 

 

Step 15:  Now you are on dashboard page. Click on “Your account” at the top right of the page and select “Activate Account” from the drop down.

 

 

Step 16: Enter your details in the form and then press the button “Activate account” at the bottom.

 


Step 17:  Move the slide bar on the top of the page from TEST to LIVE, to enable receiving your payments.

Note: You can move this slide bar to LIVE only after activating your account.

 

 

5. Can a seller do Product Mass Upload?
The scenario that is described here is about being able to upload two product listings at the same time. However, you can follow these instructions to upload more than two also.

Step 1: Open the website www.howwmuch.com and login with your registered email and password.

Step 2: Click on your name at the top right corner of the page.

 

Step 3: Under the text that reads as “Here you can manage marketplace shop”, click on the link “MASS UPLOAD” (Scroll down the page if you not see the link)

 

 

Step 4:Press the button “ADD NEW” under MASS UPLOAD REQUEST





Step 5:
Now you should see a page that looks like the one shown below.


 

5.1:Click on the link “Download this demo Csv for Products” on the page. This should download a file by name “product.csv” onto your system.

5.2: Click on the link “Download Category csv” on the page. This should download a file by name “categories.csv” onto your system.

Shown below are the two files that we downloaded.

 


Step 6: Open the file “product”, in Microsoft excel. There is a sample entry in the second row (for your reference). Make changes to this file as per your scenario.

As we are describing the scenario of listing two products – LED TV and Camera in this case, we shall make changes to this file accordingly.


6.1:For LED TV (in Row 2):


Make the following entries:

name: Sony XBR55X850C LED 4K TV

Note: Name of the product CANNOT be more than 32 characters. So, please make sure to limit the length of the name to 32 characters.

category: At this point, please open the downloaded file “categories” from your file location and look for the appropriate Category Id of the product. Here in our case, it is Smart TV and so the category id is 26.Enter this value (26) under the category id in the “product.csv” file




short_description: Sony - 55" Class (54.6" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 3D - 4K Ultra HD TV – Black

image_ref: Here goes the name of the folder that is going to have all the images of this product ONLY. Let’s say “image1” is the folder on our system that has theimages of ONLY this TV. So, image1 is the text that goes under this field.




As you can see above, we have two images (front_facing, side_angle) of the TV inside the folder “image1” on our system.

6.2: For Digital Camera (in Row 3)

Make the following entries:

name: Canon - PowerShot ELPH 170 IS

Note: Name of the product CANNOT be more than 32 characters. So, please make sure to limit the length of the name to 32 characters.

category: At this point, please open the downloaded file “categories” from your file location and look for appropriate Category Id for the product. Here in our case, it is Point & Shoot camera and so the category id is 29.Enter this value (29) under the category id in the “product.csv” file




short_description: Canon PowerShot ELPH 170 IS Digital Camera is a high-resolution imaging and a long-reaching zoom within a slim form factor.

image_ref: Here goes the name of the folder that is going to have all the images of this product ONLY. Let’s say “image2” is the folder on our system that has the images of ONLY this camera. So, image2 is the text that goes under this field.




As you can see above, we have three images (cam_1, cam_2, cam_3) of the camera inside the folder “image2” on our system.

After entering rows 2 and 3 as mentioned above, this is how the “product” file would look like:

Step 7: Save the file.


Step 8:
Create a folder by name “product_image” and move your folders ‘image1’ and ‘image2’ inside that folder.

 


Step 9:Right click on “product_image” folder and go to “Send to” from the context menu and select “Compressed (zipped) folder” as shown in the figure below.





After compressing the folder, you should see a zipped folder like the one shown below.





Step 10:
Now go back to the site www.howwmuch.com where you left in step 5. Request Number is automatically entered by the system.

10.1: Select Category- Select‘Products’ from the drop down.

10.2:Upload Info(.csv) File - Click on the text “No file selected”.This opens up the file selection window from where you have to select your “product” file.

10.3: Upload Product Image(.zip) File: Click on the text “No file selected” and select your zipped  “product_image” folder

10.4: Press UPLOAD button




Step 11:
Now you should see the text and a table entry on your page as shown below.

 





At this point, please wait for the confirmation email from howwmuch.com regarding the approval and activation of your product listing. Shown below are the confirmations in the emails for our two product listings.



 

Step 12: Once the products are approved, table entry in the last column (Approved) shows a green check mark          . This confirms that you are products are now live and active on the website howwwmuch.com
